Our Savior is Born Issue No. 242 December 189th 2012 “The Virgin shall be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.” MT 1:21

Dear Friends, Hi! Emie and I pray the Lord will be with you in a special, comforting & encouraging way this Christmas and New Year---& give you victory. This time of the year should be one of increased peace and joy but it seems to be for many people a time of stress and pressure. We need to keep our eyes focused on the Lord and trust in Him and He will fulfill His promise.

ISA. 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”

At times I find it frustrating and disappointing that it seems we live in a time when many people reject Christ and mock God. In America when Christmas approaches it is a time of the ACLU trying to drive out nativity scenes from the public square, and atheists attempt to remove reference to God wherever and whenever they can. In Psalms 2:1-5 the Bible asks the question of why do the nations and rulers rage and plot against the Lord? In verses 4-5 it states: “He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision, then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure.” God the Father because of His great love---sent His only begotten Son into this world---to be a sacrifice for our sins and pay the price for our salvation. For those who believe in Him and receive that free gift of God by faith, they receive salvation. But the Bible also says in Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” And in Romans 14:12 “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” So I don’t think the proud mockers of today will be mocking very much when they stand alone before God.

In the meantime I believe we need to pray for each person’s salvation ( including the mockers because some of them will become true believers and worshipers of Jesus) and continue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ wherever He opens the doors to do so.

Jesus said that in this world we would face plenty of problems and difficulties---but Jesus also said in John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus is the light of the world---He is our hope and strength, He is Lord of our past, our present and our future. I am thankful for His birth, His death on the cross for our sins, for His resurrection, and His soon return to rule and reign on this Earth

At the top picture I was the guest speaker to the 2nd Church we pioneered in the Philippines. It is in Culaba and it was their 14th anniversary. On the left is a ministry and feeding outreach to the children in a poor section of Tacloban. To the right Emie and I traveled about 12 hours roundtrip to minister to the congregation in Catarman, Samar. They were having their Christmas party. The people came forward, some to pray to receive Jesus as their Savior & Lord and several to commit their lives to serve the Lord in a greater way. { And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.} ---Jeremiah 29:13

In 2012 we have seen many new people receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord. We have added new churches to Eternal Life Ministries; the radio broadcasts have continued to be an encouragement to many and every month people have been saved; also the poor have been helped in various ways. God has blessed us all and touched the lives of many people. We praise Him for that.

As we move forward to the New Year of 2013 it is our prayer for continued & increased fruitfulness in all the ministry areas. And we pray for God’s special blessings to all of you who are helping us to win people to Jesus. Your friendship, prayers, and financial investments in God’s work here in the Philippines and other areas ---has helped save many souls.

In His love, Gordon & Emie

P.S. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR US: for the Lord to strengthen, encourage, anoint, protect; & supply ministry needs. Your prayers are important and appreciated. Thank-you. Finances: Please pray: for the Lord to continue to guide and anoint faithful people to invest financially for helping us share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the Lord to open the windows of heaven financially.

Giving Thanks to God Issue No 241 November 22nd, 212 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. ---Psalm 100:4 NKJ And now---all glory to Him who alone is God, who saves us through Jesus Christ our Lord; yes, splendor and majesty, all power and authority are His from the beginning; His they are and His they evermore shall be. And He is able to keep you from slipping and falling away, and to bring you, sinless and perfect, into His glorious presence with mighty shouts of everlasting joy. Amen. ---Jude 1:23-24 TLB

Dear Friends,

Warm greetings once again to each of you, Emie and I pray that the Lord will greatly bless and encourage you in all areas of your life, family, ministries, and faithful service to Him. Jude 1:1b-2 “To: Christians everywhere---beloved of God and chosen by Him. May you be given more and more of God’s kindness, peace, and Love.”

We hope you have a nice Thanksgiving Holiday and pray that the Lord will continue to reach out to all your family and friends. Emie and I will be celebrating Thanksgiving with two other missionary couples later this afternoon and we are looking forward to that. When we count our blessings and consider the incredible Love of God---we all have very much to be Thankful to God for.

We are continuing to reach out to the youth. Here at the astrodome meeting area, Emie and I spoke to the 20 new young people who had been shared the gospel by our youth leaders. They gave their lives to Christ and some of our ministry team members are continuing to teach and help encourage them in their new faith in Jesus.

The apostle Paul in I Timothy 4:12 >“Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example (pattern) for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” We find and honor and blessing to be able to reach out to these young people. They have enthusiasm and a lot of energy in their prayers, praise, worship, and service to the Lord. They are the future of the church and we will continue to do our best to reach them and people of all ages---with the Good News---the Gospel of Jesus Christ. { Acts 1:8} Jesus also had some important advice to all of us in regards to Children. In Mark 10:13-16:

Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” 16 And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them. We continue to also reach out to the children in the churches the Lord has led us to establish and other outreaches in the community. And of course there is the responsibility we all have to our children and/or grandchildren. We are to do our best to teach them to love and serve the Lord.

WE RECENTLY HAD A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR OUR YOUNGEST GOD GIVEN DAUGHTER NOREEN.

Noreen was really happy and enjoyed her 2nd Birthday celebration. It is a blessing as well as a real challenge to do a good job in raising children as any parent can testify. All of us can pray for each other in regards to God granting us each wisdom, insight, and strength, and plenty of love to help us be a blessing to our kids.

Emie and I would like to thank all of you for your prayers for us and our children. “Whoever in My name and for My sake accepts and receives and welcomes one such child also accepts and receives and welcomes Me; and whoever so receives Me receives not only Me but

Nov. 26th---Yesterday at our 2 youth meetings at the Astrodome they had a total of 107 youth attended. In the early afternoon meeting there were 60 attending that 1:30-4:30 and 47 the evening meeting. The 1st group are mostly new people who our youth leaders are evangelizing. We do not have enough room for all the youth to meet together at one time.

Three Sundays ago Emie and I traveled the 3&1/2 hour trip to Calbayog, Samar-- where she was the guest speaker for the church anniversary of a pastor friend and I spoke to our Eternal Life Ministries Church there. They were encouraged and it was a good time of fellowship with the people there.

The following Tuesday, Nov. 13th, Emie joined a national prayer team who were traveling by bus for 5 days to different parts of Leyte and Samar. On the 2nd day of travel the bus they were using was breaking down and they had to change for a while to a Jeepney and it had no shock absorbers to speak of and as a result Emie’s back was hurt. When they returned to Tacloban mid-trip Emie had to stop traveling and she could walk but needed help. Then her back went out completely and she could not get out of bed for 48 hours. We prayed a lot, and she took prescribed medication for pain and muscle relaxing, but the medicine was not helping much. Finally after 2 days and much more intense prayer---she could get out of bed and began getting better. As of this time she is okay. We thank the Lord for restoring her.

Two days ago we had a 10 A.M. ministry outreach to children in one of the villages on the outskirts of Tacloban. The team shared the gospel and gave the children some home cooked Philippine snacks. Next Saturday we will hold the outreach later in the afternoon so more of the parents can attend as well. This is a poorer neighborhood and they appreciate our ministry there.

Today I sent money to help a poor elderly lady named Josepa Machado. Most people call her Nanay-( grandmother). She is in her 80’s and worked for many years for a ministry in Samar with their Sunday school. She still has an amazing burden for children. She needs prayer for healing as I just got word she is bedridden as of now. Due to the help of one donor, we are able to send her some monthly assistance.

Emie & I would like to once again express our heartfelt THANKS to you for your prayers, encouragement, and financial investments which combined are a very important help to us in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and see many people of all ages get saved. God bless you greatly.

In His Love, Gordon & Emie P.S. PLEASE PRAY FOR US: for wisdom, health, protection, provision, strength, and very fruitful ministries. Finances: for the Lord to continue to touch the hearts of willing & faithful partners to help us win souls.

ETERNAL LIFE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL

Gordon & Emie Kalich

God is Faithful Issue No.240 October 20th, 2012

“Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;” ---Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJ

“The God, who has called you into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful to His promise”. ---I Corinthians 1:9 Knox bible

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” ---Matthew 28:19

Emie and I and about 30 youth traveled to Babatngon Falls today. Our son Nonoy and I----water baptized 13 youth who had recently received Jesus as their Savior and Lord. It is a blessing to continue to see more youth commit their lives to Jesus and grow in their faith and relationship with the Lord. {We see the faithfulness of Jesus Christ in touching these young people’s lives.}

Dear Friends,

Hi! Emie and I continue to pray for the Lord’s wisdom, favor, and abundant blessings upon your lives. May He strengthen you, encourage you, and use you in new and special ways to serve Him. We also continue to pray for the salvation of your relatives and friends. We believe that as we do our best to reach others for Christ in various parts of the world, the Lord will make special efforts to reach out to all our family & friends—and that many of them will be saved.

It was a blessing to spend a few weeks in the States and spend time with my Mom, brother, and fellowship with several of you who contacted me. I am never able to visit and fellowship with everyone I would like to but hope to see many of you in the next trip. Please pray I will be able to bring Emie with me next time. (It was also a blessing to be able to share encouraging messages to 8 different churches during my visit.)

I left Seattle Wednesday, October 10th, and traveled the approx. 15 hours+ flight, from Seattle to Japan and then on to Manila where I arrived Thursday night about 10:50 P.M. On Friday afternoon I flew to Tacloban, with my suit on, because I left the airport immediately to go to a wedding that Emie and I officiated. I was a little tired but the wedding went well. That night Emie and I drove back to our house and when I drove into the driveway I was greeted by a chorus of our children’s voices shouting: ”Daddy’s home!” I was happy and blessed to see my wife and kids again.

This photo of Emie and me was taken at the wedding we officiated in Tacloban on June 12th. Emie is looking good and her foot is about 70% back to normal.

Tommorrow after we minister in the main Tacloban church, we will prepare for travel to Manila for a seminar relating to Church growth, discipleship, and cell groups. Then when we arrive back in Tacloban next Satruday morning we will drive 2 hours to Bato, on Biliran island to preach during their Church anniversary celebration. Emie has shared with me that the churches are doing well overall and that the radio broadcasts are getting text responses from many people, some who are receiveing Jesus as Savior & Lord and others who are being encouraged in their faith as a result of the broadcasts

Emie would like to share a few words with you:

“Dear Friends

Greetings to you from the body of Christ in Tacloban City. May the Lord bless and encourage you as you read this letter.

The Lord is continuing to work through us here and through the lives of the young people. He has prophesied that in the last days the Lord will raise up young people to be the “arrow” of the church and they will penetrate places everywhere; but the adults role is to disciple them—we are the “bow” that will shoot the arrow so they can go to the target area the Lord leads them to. God is using a lot of young people to reach out to the youth in our community, even the homosexuals are coming to the Lord.

We are really in the last days. God is preparing the bride to become the warrior bride. The Church is called by God to be a beautiful Bride (inside out beauty), but we are also called to be a Warrior Bride of christ. We need to engage in Spiritual warfare because the enemy is working hard against the lives of many Christians, tempting them to fall into sin and even turn away from God. Our duty is to do warfare against the deception of the ememy and pray for the body of Christ to be strong until the end.

Friend, you are the Warrior Bride of Christ. Don’t give up, hold your position, and let us continue to do the work of God.

I love you all and I wish I can vist you all. God bless you and you are in our prayers always.” Love, Emie

This is a picture taken while driving on the road which passes through the fish market in Tacloban. It is often much more congested then this, with dozens of people going through their daily life.

In Luke 14, Jesus is sharing about the Great Supper, (vs. 21b-23) ‘Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.’ 22 And the slave said, ‘Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.’ 23 And the master said to the slave, ‘Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.’ To the best of our ability we will go and share the gospel of Jesus Christ to people wherever He leads us.

Once again Emie & I and the Eternal Life Ministries: Pastors and church workers--- would like to express our thanks to each of you who are helping us lead people to Jesus. Your prayers for us in the mission field and your financial investment donations--- help support several effective ministry outreaches and the results are new people being saved every month. We believe that one day you will meet people in heaven who will personally thank-you for the role you played in their hearing the gospel and being saved. God bless you always for your faithful partnership. In Christ’s love, Gordon & Emie P.S. Please continue to pray for us: For the Lord’s anointing & guidance that we might preach the gospel with more power and effectiveness. And for His protection, provision, healing, and strength to do all he has called us to do. Thanks.

Philippine Missions for Jesus "Waiting on God"

Waiting on God. Issue No. 239 September 20th, 2012

PSALM 27:14 “Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”

ISAIAH 30:18 [ God Will Be Gracious ] “Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.”

ISAIAH 40:31 “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

PSALM 40:1-3 “I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD.”

Dear Friends, Hi. Emie and I pray (via phone) that the Lord will give you: fresh strength, clear insight, genuine hope, and strong perseverance---in all areas of your life & service to Him. “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Gal. 6:9

I remember years ago when Rev. Dick Mills (who had a special gift of the Lord for personal prophecy) ---said: “There is the time of the promise and the time for the performance of the promise.” For example, Joseph received a prophetic vision from the Lord---but it took about 13 years before it came to reality. During that time he went through major challenges and difficulties---but in due time the vision became reality.

In our own lives we may have a tendency to be discouraged when we do not see a quick enough answer (in our opinion) to our prayers & what we believe to be promises of God. However as the Scriptures state above, we need to patiently and confidently wait on the Lord, and in due season---we will reap the blessings and answers to our prayers and spiritual investments---if we do not lose heart and quit. In Hebrews 10:36 we are exhorted to persevere: “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” We need to persevere and persist in what God has called us to do. In Hebrews 12:1c-2a we are instructed to “…run with endurance the race that is set before us, and keep our eyes focused on Jesus.” When we do persist in the things God has called us to do---He will bless us and strengthen us---and bring us to victory and fulfillment. Period. {Lord, we trust in you, we will be faithful to Your call on our lives, and we thank-You in advance for the victory that You will bring to pass.} “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” ---I Cor. 15:57

I have been ministering to churches in Western Washington and Eastern Oregon these past 4 weeksand will be sharing at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winlock on Sept. 23rd, Neighborhood Christian Center in Tumwater on Sept. 30th, and Maranatha Christian Center in Tacoma on Oct. 7th. I am scheduled to return to the Philippines on October 10th. (If you would like to meet for fellowship please let me know, my phone number is 360-748-3858 and email is gordonkalich@yahoo.com I just talked with Emie on the phone today and she shared that our youth group is exploding in growth. We are also getting new adult members as well. She had to buy new chairs two weeks ago and will be buying more chairs tomorrow. Our members are sharing the gospel to other people in the community and inviting them to church---and the Lord is touching their lives. We will continue to do our best to reach new people for Jesus, exhort and encourage fellow Christians in their faith and service to the Lord, and help the poor as led by the Holy Spirit. Thank-you very much for your friendship, prayers, and financial investments in helping us share the gospel of Jesus Christ. {Many new people now know Jesus as their Savior & Lord as a result of your faithful partnership.} We pray the Lord blesses and rewards you always. In Christ’s love,

Gordon & Emie P.S. PLEASE PRAY FOR US: For God’s insight & direction, for his wisdom and fresh anointing, for His powerful protection and abundant provision for the ministry outreaches, and for His encouragement and help in all areas needed. / Please also pray the Lord will touch the hearts of new people to pray and to invest financially--- to help us in the ministry of reaching people for Jesus. Thank-you!

---Ephesians 6:18-19 & 2 Corinthians 9:7-9 P.S.S. We need some help for the churches and pastors in the Philippines. If any of your churches have bought new sound equipment and have used microphones or other music equipment available for donation to the mission field please let me know. Also for those of you who have upgraded to a new I-phone, I-pad, or laptop, and would like to donate the old one to be used in ministry in the missions field, please contact me by phone: 360-748-3858 or email: gordonkalich@yahoo.com. (Any help would be greatly appreciated)

FAITH---SPOKEN WORD---ACTION

MARK 9:23 NKJ Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Hebrews 11:1 NLB “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”

Mark 11:23-24 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’ ---- {a mountain is symbolic of an obstacle, hindrance, or (seemingly) insurmountable problem}

James 1:25 “But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”
Hebrews 10:36 AMP “For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

Dear Friends,
Hi. Emie & I pray the Lord will strengthen you and encourage you--- and as mentioned in the following Scripture grant you His joy & peace. Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” { No obstacle or problem is too big for God---and He is for you, He loves you, and He will help you.}

In Acts 17:6b NKJ; the disciples were referred to as: “…These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” The Disciples were “World Changers” . As they stepped forward to fulfill the Great Commandment ( To Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to love your neighbor as yourself) and the Great Commission: ( to reach the gospel to all creation and make disciples of all nations); they were being use by God to advance His Kingdom and make dramatic positive changes in the world.
Jesus said in Luke 4:18-19 “THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED, 19 TO PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.” Jesus also said in John 20:21 “…As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
1. When we exercise solid faith & believe God’s word and His calling on our lives;
2. when we line up our spoken words with the Lord’s truth and calling on our lives;
3. and when we then step out in simple faith and obedience, and take action to do the work He has called us to do---then we become an active part of God’s “World Changers Team”.
Emie & I would like to once again say: “THANK-YOU so very much---for partnering with us in reaching people for Christ. Your faithful prayers, encouragement, and financial investments in the ministry outreaches continues to help us reach new people for Jesus every month; train and encourage Christians in their faith & service to the Lord; and help the poor as led by the Holy Spirit. We pray that God will greatly bless and reward you. “For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10
Emie and I would like to share a testimony:
Dear Friends,--------Greetings to you in the name of Jesus, the lover of our soul and healer of our body.
I would like to share some highlights of the ministry here in the Philippines! I can say that the Lord is the Lord of good timing---because last March, the first Sunday of the month, I was invited to preach at our daughter church in Calbiga, but for some reason was not available so I rescheduled my date to visit the Calbiga Church on the 2nd Sunday and during the service the people were blessed and revived.
After the Church service a member approached me to visit and pray for a 10 year old girl named Mary Rose who had been laying down on the floor and was very sick & looked like she was waiting to die. The parents were very poor and lived in a small native house, they had no hope for their daughter to get healed because they had no money to bring their daughter to the hospital. When I looked at her, I was moved with compassion. I prayed for her but decided to take her with me to Tacloban so I couldtake her to the hospital. The Doctor there told me that she was in critical situation and was diagnosed with Dengue fever . She spent 9 days in the hospital and though prayer and medication, by God’s grace Mary Rose is now healed.
(Emie praying for her upon check –in) (Mary Rose 9 days later on the day she was to leave the hospital)

Mary Rose and her Mom visited us 3 weeks after her check out when she came to Tacloban for a follow up check by the Doctor. They expressed again their appreciation for helping her. The reason we were able to help her was because of your generosity to help make this ministry possible.

Thank-you for your love, prayer, and partnership to the ministry that God entrusted to all of us. We go and you help send us. God bless you all. Love, Emie

This month I was in Mindanao for a 1 week World Missions conference and Emie was in the Manila attending 2 different prayer conferences, one of which had approx. 10,000 people attending. These meetings were very good and were helpful to us. The churches we have helped pioneer and establish in Biliran, Leyte, and Samar Islands in region 8 are doing well over all. The

several thousand people with the gospel each Sunday & other areas of ministry outreaches are being fruitful also.
In about 3 weeks it will have been 20 years ago that I came to the Philippines, in a simple step of faith and in obedience to what I believed was the call of God. In this time frame we have been able to share the gospel to many thousands of people and see many people (of all ages) ----have their lives transformed after receiving Jesus as their Savior & Lord. Through a ministry of encouragement and discipleship we have seen hundreds of people grow spiritually and become more active in their faith & service to the Lord. We have seen the lives of very poor people blessed by us being able to give them various helps in the areas of food, clothing, medical, and other areas. We have seen people’s lives physically saved because we were able to help them---and see them also receive Eternal Life by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. We thank God for the honor of serving Him and we give Him praise & glory. We also thank the Lord for leading faithful Christians to work side by side with us and partner with us in reaching people for Jesus.
It is our prayer that God will grant us 20 to 30+ more years to continue to preach
the gospel and see many more people’s lives saved by responding to the love, grace, and mercy of the Lord. God bless you always. In Christ’s love,

Missions for Jesus in the Philippines "Freedom in Christ" # 232

Freedom in Christ. Issue No. 232
February 19th, 2012
{ Jesus Came to Set the Captives Free.}
2 Cor. 3:17 NIV “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Christ purchased our freedom [redeeming us] from the curse (doom) of the Law [and its condemnation] by [Himself] becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the Scriptures], Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified); Gal. 3:13 AMP
[ Walk by the Spirit ] It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Gal. 5:1 NAS

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Dear Friends,
Hi. Emie & I send you our greetings once again in the amazing name of Jesus. We pray the Lord will fill you with His love, joy, and peace. May God grant you the desires of your heart and answer your specific prayer requests in the affirmative and speedily.
“ Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14 NAS In a world that currently has an abundance of problems many people may feel very concerned and troubled. Jesus said in John 8:31-32 “….If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” As we read and meditate on God’s word and do it----we find freedom from the fears and anxieties this world system and the enemy of our soul tries to put on us:
(the following are not platitudes or mere words---they are the truth that gives us freedom)
#1. Don’t worry….about provision for your needs or about tomorrow.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Mt. 6:33
#2. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:6-7
#3. Rejoice. “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21:28 (When there are many extremely difficult things coming upon the earth---Jesus is bigger than them all.) “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”---JESUS John 16:33 NAS

It may be noted that sometimes it seems difficult to follow these commands (not just suggestions) that the Lord has given us. But when we begin to focus our eyes upon Jesus as the Christian song says,---then truly--- the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.
{We Can Trust In the Lord---always. He is on our side & He is for us. And, He just happens to be all powerful.}

I mentioned in last month’s newsletter that we had a team of Christian workers from Youth With a Mission staying with us for over a month. They worked with our youth, spoke at two of our churches and to other churches and ministries we helped schedule in the area. They shared the gospel to prisoners in 3 city jails and our youth worked with them. On one Saturday night the YWAM team and our youth held an evangelistic outreach in a poor subdivision and reached many youth with the gospel. The next night at our Sunday evening Youth meeting at the Tacloban astrodome, almost 60 youth attended and more than 20 were new Christians from the previous night’s crusade.
To host several people at your mission’s compound and residence for a few weeks, it takes some effort, and one must be willing to be a good host. When you see the new people saved, and the growth of your youth, and the growth of the YWAM Team members themselves---it is a real blessing and reward. Many of the YWAM team are fairly new Christians themselves, and these outreaches were a part of their training.

Tomorrow, Emie and I and a few Australian missionaries will be traveling to Biliran
Island.
We are helping Graeme and Paula Connelly to conduct a seminar on Tuesday, to many pastors and church leader from various churches on that island. Their ministry has already been a blessing and encouragement to many here in Tacloban area. We have Eternal Life Ministry Churches on Biliran Island: in Culaba, Caibiran, Cabucgayan, Looc, and Bato; and people from these churches will be attending the seminar.

It was twenty years ago I was in Olympia, Washington---preparing for a missions trip to the Philippines in May of 1992. I had been on short term mission’s work in the Philippines in 1983 & 1985---but I knew that this would be a longer range mission’s outreach, but I did not know how long.
I sold most of my modest assets and took a step of faith and obedience to what I believed to be the direction of the Lord to: #1 share the gospel of Jesus Christ where ever God opened the doors. #2. Exhort and encourage fellow Christians in their faith and service to the Lord. #3. Help the poor as led by the Holy Spirit.
In these past nearly 2 decades: many men, women, youth, and children--- have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord in our ministry outreaches. We have received testimonies from many other Christians of various ages, that through our ministries---they have been edified, strengthened, and encouraged in their faith and service to the Lord. And in these years we have been able to help the poor with food, clothing, medical, toys for children, and other areas of help---given in the name of Jesus.
First and foremost I give thanks to the Lord for all the good fruit in the ministry outreaches. I also thank God very much for giving me a wonderful wife in Emie. We are able to work side by side in the ministry, as well as in raising our 7 God-given children. And we together---thank the Lord very much for each of you who are faithfully partnering with us in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. God bless you---for your friendship, prayers, and financial investments in God’s work through the ministry outreaches. We pray the Lord will greatly reward you for your important help to us in reaching people for Jesus. In Christ’s love,
P.S. Gordon & Emie
Please Pray: for God’s fresh anointing, clear direction, abundant provision, good health and strength, powerful protection, and all else needed for us, the ministry workers, and team---to best serve the LORD.

Finances: I don’t always know how to best share about the financial needs. But today, Emie & I, would simply like to share the needs of the ministry to those who are able and willing to give a special offering, (as the Lord leads). We need some help at this time. Thank you.

Dear Friends,

Hi. Emie & I send you our greetings from the Philippines and pray the Lord will do special miracles and blessings in your lives this year. May this year of 2012 be a year of breakthrough and unique victories in your personal lives and service to the Lord.

Thank-you for your prayers, encouragement, and help to us in the ministry outreaches in the past months and years, and in the present. I believe we will all---one day meet people in heaven, that have come to know Jesus as their Savior & Lord as a result of all of us working together as a team to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Emie & I continue to pray for all of you who receive this newsletter and are partnering with us. We trust the Lord to help you in the areas of your lives you most need His assistance. We also continue to pray for the Lord to reach all your unsaved relatives and friends. (“We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.)--- I Thess. 1:2)

As we enter the first month of this New Year of 2012 we continue to pray for the Lord’s clear guidance for us all. We believe God will move upon people’s lives in powerful ways this year, He will do something “New” just as described in the Scriptures at the top of this page. As we all seek the Lord He will answer us, & direct us and help us.

“…as long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success.” ---2 Chronicles 26:5b

Yesterday we visited the Tacloban City Jail and shared testimonies and Scripture with approx. 100+ prisoners. A 7 member team from YWAM (Youth With a Mission) that is staying with us for a month; shared through preaching, testimonies, and drama—the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Emie interpreted, and I also shared with the inmates. Many of the prisoners prayed to receive Jesus as their Savior & Lord.

“I was in prison and you came to see Me.” Math. 25:36c ---Jesus
On Friday January 6th, Emie & I visited and were the guest speakers---to the Canavid Church in Eastern Samar. (a 6 hr RT drive) They were having a “Thanksgiving Celebration” for the growth of the church in the past 9 months and the completion of the first stage of an increase of their church building size by about 250%. (The framing, roofing, part of the siding, and a concrete platform for the preaching & music team is completed)
