THIS SONG TELLS THE STORY Oh Lord my God When I in awesome wonder Consider all the works Thy hands have made I see the stars I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout The universe displayed Then sings my soulIn this picture, Pastor Ludring (75 years old), his wife, & Emie are standing in front of a new addition to the Church building in Catarman. Their attendance has been growing and several people were standing outside with just a tarp covering. Thanks to the kindness of a church mission’s donation, this is one of the projects we were able to complete. The members are poor financially and they greatly appreciated the help with the native building addition. “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Romans 12:13 #2. These are some of our children at the home church in Tacloban doing a special presentation. The children and youth are the future of a congregation and we continue to pray for God’s best for their lives. “Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you to revere and worshipfully fear the Lord.” Psalm 34:11AMP #3. This vehicle is called a tricycle in the Philippines. It is a motorcycle with a sidecar and is a common form of transportation here. It can take 4 to 8+ people. Sometimes in the province people even ride on the top. The Filipino people are creative in making inexpensive modes of transportation. Several people come to our church services using these. “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.” Luke 14:23 #4. At our July pastors meeting we celebrated the birthdays of Emie, & Pastor Teddy who is from Looc, Biliran. The pastors and workers really enjoyed the dinner, cake, & ice cream. Our little girl Noreen is on the right. In these monthly pastors meetings we usually have an average of 20+ people attend, and it is a good time of fellowship, prayer, teaching and encouragement. “As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”---Proverbs 27:17 My Savior, God, to Thee How great thou art How great thou art Then sings my soul My Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art And When I think, of God, His son not sparing, Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing He bled and died to take away my sin. Psalm 40:5 (NKJV) Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered _______________________________________________________________________________ Dear Friends,

Hi! We send you our warm greetings once again from the mission field here in the Philippines. Emie and I pray the Lord will continue to strengthen and encourage you in all your life & service to Him. May He abundantly supply all your needs in all aspects of your life to help you fulfill His purpose and plan for your life. “The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” ---Isaiah 58:11 NIV

?As we keep our thoughts and heart focused on the Lord, and His wisdom, compassion, power, and amazing love for us all---He gives us peace. “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” ---Isaiah 26:3 NKJ

It seems that when we watch and listen to the world news we can sometimes be discouraged and it can have a dampening effect on our countenance. In Philippians 4:8 the Scripture tells us: “ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” JESUS IS ALL THESE THINGS.

This song says it well: “We are the reason that He gave His life-- We were the reason that He suffered and died--To a world that was lost He gave all He could give, To show us the reason to live.” {for in Him we live and move and have our being,}---Acts 17:28 ______________________________________________________________________________

This young lady was praying with deep emotion and passion at the end of one of our recent church services where the Lord was touching many people’s hearts to draw closer to Him. The Scripture states that if you draw close to God, then God will draw close to you. We continue to see the Lord to touch and transform many people’s lives as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the Living Bible, Psalms 49:8-9 it says: “For a soul is far too precious to be ransomed by mere earthly wealth. There is not enough of it is all the earth to buy eternal life for just one soul, to keep it out of hell.” Jesus came to seek and save the lost, He gave His own life and blood to pay in full, the price for salvation. One of the great blessings in sharing the gospel--- is seeing people’s lives transformed by Jesus. ____________________________________________________________________________

GOD LOVES US Issue No.248 . JUNE 20th, 2013

JOHN 3:16 Amplified Bible “ For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”

Romans 5:4-6 New Living Translation And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.

I John 4:16 NLT We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

Dear friends,

Greetings once again to you, in the wonderful name of Jesus. Emie and I pray for the Lord to bring you comfort, peace, and joy in much increased measure. We continue to pray for you, your family, and church—for God’s guidance, strength, healing, and increase in all good ways. May the Lord do great and mighty things in all your lives this year. We trust the Lord to bring breakthrough and victory soon in areas you have been long praying for. “…with God all things are possible.” --Matthew 19:26b

The greatest benefit and blessing each of us has in this life is that we are loved by God in such a limitless measure that it is beyond our capacity to fully understand it. Because of that love, God’s grace ( His unearned favor ) rests upon us. And as the great hymn states: “It is grace that has brought me safe this far, and it is grace that will bring me home.” We who are Christians are blessed to know that and we are called by the Lord to share that good news, the gospel to all who will listen. Yesterday, Emie did just that. “Dear Friend,

Greetings to you from the Philippines. I would just like to share some good things God has done in our ministry. Yesterday, June 19th I went to DYVL, a radio station where we have a broadcast and also a Bible study where we have a wonderful sharing of the gospel with the manager & other staff. Afterwards I went next door to a building to have lunch, I don’t usually go there but I was led to stay there. Another woman came in to the café and I asked her to share a table with me. I introduced myself to her and that I am a Christian. She said she was seeking a religion that was real where she could feel that God was there. So I introduced her to Jesus and we ended up having a Bible study for more than an hour. She received the Lord at the end and was very happy that we met there. We exchanged phone numbers and I prayed for her before parting. Every day I prayed that God will give me a person that I can share His love to them. God provided & I pray the seed planted to her will be in her & her heart is a good ground. Please include her in your prayer. Her name is Anne Golong.” Love, Emie

I am making this newsletter a little different. On the backside of this are 20 small pictures a few parts of the ministry. They are from the past and present and I hope you enjoy them. Currently most of the churches are doing well and a few are facing challenges and we are praying for breakthrough and victory for them. The radio broadcasts are heard by thousands of people each Sunday morning, and the youth in our churches are growing in maturity and are eager to serve the Lord. We pray that we all will be used by the Lord in greater and more fruitful ways to reach people for Jesus and encourage people in their faith and service to the Lord.

Your prayers, encouragement, and financial investments in helping us share the gospel of Jesus Christ continue to help more and more people come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior & Lord. Thank you so very much for your friendship and faithful partnership . Your help is important.

God bless you always, GORDON & EMIE P.S. Please pray for God’s blessing on our health, for protection, full anointing, more wisdom and strength, more fruitfulness, and a swift---positive breakthrough in supplying the needed finances for the ministry outreaches. ETERNAL LIVE MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL AMAZING GRACE Issue No.245 March 29th, 2013 “Through many dangers, toils and snares I have already come; 'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home. The Lord has promised good to me. His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be, As long as life endures.” Titus 3:7 “ Because of His grace He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life

Dear Friends,

Hi. We send you greetings in the precious name of our mutual Lord and Savior---Jesus Christ. Emie and I pray for the Lord’s fresh anointing upon you, and for His peace, love, and encouragement to be yours in abundance. Isaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

We who believe and trust in Christ have been given the unmerited favor of God. Two of the stanzas above from Amazing Grace, speak of the assurance that the Grace of God that has brought us safe this far will lead us all the days of our lives and at His chosen time will bring us home to heaven. In this world in 2013 there are challenges and uncertainly in the world, but Jesus said in John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” These may be familiar words, but they are encouraging words from Jesus that we need to take to heart. God is an ever present help in times of trouble. He is for us. Psalm 50:15 “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.” ( 24 hours a day, 7 days a week---God hears your voice---and he makes house-calls.)

We have had a very busy & fruitful month. In addition to the regular Sunday services, youth meetings, radio broadcasts, Bible studies, and monthly pastors meeting,---we have worked with 4 Australian Missionaries (2 teams) , 4 American Missionaries ( 2 teams), and 13 YWAM missions workers in the past 4 weeks; and attended a 2 day seminar outside Manila in the mountains. Also while we were at the conference, our church ministry team (along with other churches) helped a California missions group hold a large crusade at the Astrodome. These last 30days, many people received Jesus as their Savior & Lord and many are being discipled and encouraged in their Christian faith & service. ( I will share a few details of these past 30 days)

When we arrived back from Manila last Sunday night we had no time to go home but went straight to a birthday celebration and then to a funeral service, an unusual combination. The birthday party was for our friend and long-time church member Bobet, and also a celebration for her daughter Jan Denise’s graduation from nursing school. They had been waiting for our arrival, we had good fellowship, food, and we able to pray for God’s blessings on them. The next meeting was for the last evening funeral service for the mother of our church member named Sally, who is an administrator at Leyte High. I was able to share (with Emie Interpreting) a memorial message and the gospel to the people there that night and several people prayed and gave their lives to Christ.

The next afternoon Emie went to minister at the final funeral service and burial. At that time I was going to the bus terminal to pick up pastor Dave Morris, an 84 year old pastor and missionary. He will be with us 1 week, and he is a man who has a lot of wisdom & insight to share about Jesus and the Christian Life and ministry. He had pioneered several churches in Australia which are fruitful today. He is a blessing.

Back to the beginning, on February 26th & 27th we were in Calbayog and Allen on the island of Samar. We helped Australian missionaries Graeme and Paula Connelly and their friend Debbie. They held 2 seminars for pastors & spouses, and church leaders. Paula was the main speaker and her passion is to see lives changed, healed and restored in the Name of Jesus. Emie interpreted for each of them and the meetings were very successful and many people were encouraged & blessed. We had 13 members of a YWAM team stay with us for 3 days. They were mostly students who had completed 3 months of schooling and were now finishing 3 months of field work evangelism. It is always encouraging to see youth who are excited to serve Jesus. During our monthly pastors meeting we had 2 American pastors as guest speakers. Pastor Dan from Colorado, and Pastor Tommy from Georgia. They did an excellent job of ministering to the pastors and leaders, and a Wednesday night service and to the youth.

On March 6th we had Dr. Larry Hunt speak to our Sunday morning congregation in Tacloban. Dr. Hunt has been a friend for many years and was the person God used in the mid-nineties to encourage me to pioneer a church in Tacloban, but we have only seen each other seldom in recent years. He has been president of 3 Bible Colleges and prior to that was a pastor and has a heart for evangelism. He traveled to several places in the Philippines this trip and held a seminar for pastors and church leaders in Tacloban. He wrote these kind and encouraging words at the beginning of a recent email:

“Gordon & Emie:

?First, I want to tell you how much I was impressed with what you both have accomplished in the Philippines, your children, your residence, your church and outreach churches, simply all of it. I admire your work very much and hold it in the highest esteem. I respect you for your lives and work there. You have done very well. God is well pleased, I am sure. The spirit in your church was simply the best I’ve come upon in very many years. The music was straight on. Your passion and vision is well directed and vibrant. Your willingness to help the kingdom of God is unparalleled. I’m simply amazed and am so very glad we connected. Thank you for your love, kindness, graciousness, and ability to care about me. You have always been a constant friend, no wavering. Thank you….” Your colleague and friend; Larry D. Hunt

As we approach 21 years in Missions this upcoming May, we look forward to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ as long as we live. Jesus said in John 9:4 AMP “We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work.”

In the mission field, in order to reach people for Jesus, the partnership between those who are willing to go and those who are willing to help send is of great importance. Emie and I continue to express our thanks to each of you who pray for us, encourage us, and help invest financially in sharing the gospel here in the Philippines and in a few other countries. We continue to pray for the Lord’s blessing on you, your family, church and ministry.

In Christ’s Love, Gordon & Emie

Please continue to pray for us: for wisdom, strength, courage, anointing, healing, protection, and financial and other provision. We could really use some help in regards to finances at this time. Thank-you. “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
