Philippine Missions for Jesus

“Dear Father in Heaven ” Issue No. 212
June 19th, 2010

“…hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Mt 6:9b-10

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. ---Mt 28:19

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me
in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” ---Acts 1:8

Dear Friends,
Hi. Emie and I pray for the Lord to help you----and bless, strengthen, and encourage you in all areas of your life. May His blessings be unique and a pleasant surprise to you.
Psalm 116:1 NIV “Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”
This Sunday , June 20th we will be celebrating Father’s Day. I already received 3 homemade cards from the triplets: Faith Hope, and Joy. Gracia had helped them---and she and Hugh will probably be giving me their homemade cards tomorrow. As Faith, Hope, & Joy enthusiastically handed me my Father’s Day cards tonight, with big smiles they said: “Happy Mother’s Day”. It was funny. /Side note: [The triplets were excited this week as they started their 1st day of School on Tuesday---they are in Kindergarten I; and Hugh is in the 3rd grade & Gracia in the 5th grade.]
May God bless and help the fathers in this world to become the true fathers that God created them to be. And may children honor their parents and receive the promise in Eph. 6:3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.” I read a quote from a person who must have had a very good father and wanted to honor him: “Dad, you’re someone to look up to no matter how tall I’ve grown.”
Good parenting is an important responsibility and with God’s help we all can become better parents. Individually, all of us come from different backgrounds as children, some remembering their childhood with happiness and some with sorrow. Yet whatever our human family background---all of us who know Jesus as Savior & Lord have one very important truth in common: God is our Father. It is His Fatherhood we should focus on and look to for our example. His love is perfect. He is never too busy for us, He will comfort and help us. God our Father greets us with open arms & He gives us forgiveness, restoration, and great love and blessing.
Saying: “Thanks” and “Happy Father’s Day” to God is a good idea. It is because of God our Father’s love, mercy, and grace---that we live and breathe, and every genuine blessing that we have ever received is truly from Him. “Yet, O Lord, You are our Father…Is.64:8a & “A father to the fatherless and a defender of widows, is God…” Ps 68:5

The 1st part of the month on a Wednesday, I visited one of churches we helped pioneer which qualifies in “and to the ends of the earth” category. It is located up in a Siteo (smaller than a village), called “Sinabag” in the Northwestern part of Leyte Island in what they call mountains here in the Philippines (what we would call big hills in the States). It takes about 3 hours to get there from Tacloban when it is not the rainy season, otherwise the final 6 miles can be very muddy and hard to travel on. My nephew/ son Nonoy, Pastor Bobet (from that church) and Pastor Teddy & his wife Gena from our church in Looc, Biliran Is. traveled with me.
The final part of the trip is up a fairly steep--rough narrow road which is more like a big trail, and I could not use the Hi-Ace van on it. So although I had been having problems with sore feet and at a very recent doctor’s appointment had been advised to for 2 weeks, reduce by 90/% my walking, etc., ----there was not much option so walking up the hillside we all go. It is a fairly steady climb for a little less than a mile and you arrive at the little church and several small native houses overlooking a beautiful valley below.
The people there are poor farmers who have government given lands farther up in the hills which they grow crops on to make their subsistence living. In that hilly area and for a pastor to minister to the people several kilometers away, even a motorcycle is not sufficient---so last year we helped Pastor Bobet to buy a small horse.
He is now able to easily travel to the members further in the mountains for prayer, fellowship, and Bible study.
I was there to visit and fellowship with some of the family and church members there. We also moved some small benches out to a vacant lot recently purchased for a future new native church building. As the sun was setting and we looked over the valley and hills----we sang praise & worship songs to the Lord and prayed.
Later I had dinner with them in their small one room house that serves as the living room, dining, and bedroom.
Many families in the rural Philippines just roll out small reed mats on the floor and all sleep together at night.
It was a very nice time of fellowship and the people were happy I had come to visit them.
Over the next 2-3 weeks I hope to travel to most of the 21 churches and spend time with the pastors, their families, and church leaders for a time of fellowship and prayer. For some it might be in the morning, others at noon or evening. To visit every church on a Sunday would take 5 months so this will be shorter visits of prayer and fellowship at various time of the week. By the time you get this newsletter, God willing--- I will be on the road traveling to several churches and in part of the trip traveling by boat to 2 churches on the small islands.
Three Sundays ago, in the afternoon---Emie & I traveled with some of our Tacloban church members to visit the town of Lapaz where we are starting to pioneer a new church that came about as a result of people saved during our Sunday radio broadcasts. Many of the people at our meeting there are seniors in their sixties & seventies, but they are excited about coming to know Jesus as their Savior & Lord and want to serve Him. We prayed for several people there that day and the Lord was touching people’s lives.
When we were leaving and driving though the downtown area there were crowds of people on both sides of the road and people running to the scene of a very bad accident between 2 motorcycles which had a head-on collision. On the left side of the road was a pool of blood. We could not see the accident victims because of the crowds. I drove further & pulled the van off the road, and Emie and I went back. The 1st man was bloody with head and body wounds and was being held in a sitting position. He was conscious and Emie was able to speak to him in dialect and he prayed with her to receive Jesus as Savior & Lord. The man across the street where the pool of blood was, almost had his leg severed at the knee and was very pale. He was still conscious and once again Emie shared with him in the native language and he softly prayed with her to receive Jesus as Savior & Lord. No ambulance from a nearby city had arrived yet and there were no medics or doctors in that area. The 1st man I would have estimated had a 90% chance of survival, but the 2nd man did not appear to have much hope of surviving.(he died 2 days later) But they both had been able to pray to God and ask Jesus to be their Savior & Lord.
As we have entered into the first weeks of our 19th year in missions, once again Emie and I and the ministry workers here in the Philippines would like to say “Thank-you so very much” for helping us share the gospel of Jesus Christ here in the Philippines and some other countries. People are being saved, strengthened and encouraged in their faith & service to the Lord, and helped in a variety of ways. Your prayers, encouragement, and financial investments in sharing the gospel is helping reach people for Jesus. Your faithful partnership is very important and greatly appreciated. We pray God richly blesses you.
In Christ’s love,
P.S. Please pray for God’s blessings upon Emie for her 50th birthday July 10th and our 18th wedding anniversary on July 23rd. Thanks Gordon & Emie

…the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” --James 5:16b NLT
P.S.S. Please Pray for us and the ministry workers: The requests are for God’s blessing upon the fruitfulness of the ministry outreaches, and for His protection, clear guidance & special anointing, and for provision & good health.
Also please pray that God will raise up 70+ more intercessory prayer partners to intercede for us and the Eternal Life Ministries International workers and partners; that together we can reach many more people for Christ.
Finances: This ministry from the beginning in 1992 has been a faith based ministry. We thank God for touching the hearts of faithful people to help us financially to share the gospel in the mission’s field in the Philippines and a few other countries. Please pray for the Lord to bless and reward all our current financial partners and for the Lord to raise up 35 new financial ministry partners; & that God will supply $1000. + in additional monthly donations to Eternal Life Ministries Int’l for the ministry outreaches to help in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We need a breakthrough & help in that area.
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work.” ---2 Cor. 9:8 Thanks again & God bless you always.

“God will build His Church” Issue No. 211
May 21st, 2010

Matthew 16:15-17 & 18b He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven…and on this rock I will build My church and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it”.
Footnotes in my Bible: The expression (gates of Hades) means “the power of death” cannot prevent the advancement of the kingdom, nor claim victory over those who belong to God.

Dear Friends,
Hi. Emie & I pray the Lord blesses, strengthens, and encourages you today.
2 John 3a “Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ,…”
May you experience great breakthrough and see several major prayer requests fulfilled in the remaining months of 2010.
We can have confidence and assurance that the Lord will continue to help us in our individual lives: Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” We can be certain that globally and locally, God will continue to build His church of which all of us who believe in Him are a part of. ( Math. 16:18b). And also when we look at the troubling conditions in this world---we can have rest in our souls as we remember---that God has helped us in the past, He is with us now as well as every day in the future. John 16:33b “…In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” ---Jesus.
On a personal basis if you are facing challenges the Lord says in His word: Isaiah 43:2-3a “When you pass though the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;” & Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
{God is for you; He will never leave you nor forsake you

In mid-May we completed 18 years of ministry outreaches in the Philippines & U.S.A.--- as well as doing some ministry work as well in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Kenya, & D.R. Congo. If the Lord grants us good health and long life, Emie and I hope to continue to serve in ministering the gospel for 20-30 + more years---globally. (With God, all things are possible)
We are thankful to the Lord for the privilege of serving Him, and thankful for the many people who have been saved and strengthened in their faith during these years. We also once again---would like to convey our great appreciation and sincere thanks to each of you for partnering with us to reach people for Jesus. Your prayers, encouragement, and financial investments in God’s work through the ministry outreaches is producing good results. People are being saved, discipled, and the poor have been helped. We continue to pray for you and always and trust the Lord to bless and reward you for your partnership with us in sharing the gospel.
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown towards His name, in that you have ministered to His saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10

One of our ministry outreaches we have shared about before is our weekly DYVL Radio broadcasts airing on Sunday morning through-out Region 8 (Biliran, Leyte, & Samar Islands) and beyond. Every week people respond by texting and a couple of those responses Emie recently received after one of her broadcasts are as follows: “Thank-you Mam for sharing the word of God through Radio. The message is always uplifting to us and gives life to our spirit. I am your avid listener from the Island of Samar.”---Royo Family. And another person texted: “I just tuned in my radio and I heard you speaking about God. I really liked the way you prayed for people. I am a woman of 2 children, a widower, and worried; but the word you shared in the air is very uplifting & encouraging. Thank-you for praying for us.”
In the past 18 years, whether it has been in church services, seminars, Bible studies, open-air crusades, radio broadcasts, or one-on-one---people’s lives have continued to be saved, encouraged, and strengthened by sharing the good news about Jesus Christ and God’s good plan for each person’s life. As we enter this 19th year of ministry, may God grant increase & favor.

Last week there was a very good ( interdenominational) youth camp on Biliran island and 150 young people (teens to early twenties) attended. We have established 6 churches on that island and about half the youth delegates were from those churches. This week in Tacloban we had a training session for some of the church youth and adults in evangelism & discipleship application. They visited some of their unsaved relatives & friends. Last night in Tacloban at the (mini) astrodome meeting area there were over 70 youth & some adults attending a “Harvest Party” and it was a blessing to see that many attending were new Christians as a result of evangelism outreach this week.
Jesus said: “…The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”¬ ---Matthew 9:37-38
We will continue to do our best to share the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever the Lord opens to doors to do so and help teach and train others to do so also. Thank-you for your prayers, encouragement, and financial help to the missions outreaches here in the Philippines and other countries.
For “ whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? ---Romans 10:13-15a
Thank-you once again for helping send us to share the gospel and God bless you always.
In His love,
Gordon & Emie
Please continue to pray for us: that the Lord will continue to give us the wisdom, boldness, strength; and the prayer support & financial provision---to share the gospel to more people and in more nations. Please also continue to pray for God’s blessing on our health, for His protection in all areas, and for the Lord to touch the hearts of more people to actively partner with us in sharing the “life saving & life changing” gospel of Jesus.

The “All is possible!” God.
Issue # 210
April 20th, 2010
Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

Dear Friends,
Hi. Once again we send you our greetings from the Philippines. Emie and I continue to pray for God’s special blessings for your life. Thank-you for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and financial help for the ministry outreaches that are reaching people for Jesus. May the Lord--- strengthen, encourage, comfort, and guide you clearly on His best pathways for you. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”—Proverbs 3:5-6 While we continue to see many difficulties and challenges in the world today--- and each of us individually encounter personal issues (problems), which may seem at times quite difficult. We have on our side however, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Jesus encourages us in: John 14:27 NAS “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. God’s peace is incredible & overpowers our fears.
We are also encouraged in Romans 8:31b “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”
God is definitely on your side—and nothing can hinder or block, His help and supply for you
By trusting in God and letting His power work in and through our lives----we will see and experience victory in the most important areas of our lives. The apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things though Christ who strengthens me.” We are exhorted once again that it is not our personal strength or ability that is important-- but God’s strength and help to us that brings the victory. God’s word says in Zechariah 4:6b LB “…Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts---you will succeed because of My Spirit, though you are few and weak.” And the
conclusion of this matter is listed at the upper part of this page: { For--With God--Nothing Shall Be Impossible
I arrived back in the Philippines about 11:15 PM on April 8th after one of the smoother flights I have experienced on the Seattle-Tokyo Manila flights. I don’t know about you, but I am not particularly fond of turbulent flights that shake the whole plane and make you wonder if you might go to heaven earlier than expected. I thank the Lord for the smooth and safe flight.

It is good to be back to see Emie and [Nonoy, Gracia, Hugh, Faith, Hope, and Joy].
This is summer vacation for the kids (April & May), so I am able to spend more time fellowshipping with them. It has also been nice to see the ministry is continuing to grow and more people are coming to know Jesus as Savior & Lord. Three weeks ago Emie and our pastors had a 2 day & night “Encounter God” meeting at our Missions Compound. There were 134 delegates, plus 13 teachers & 5 on the music team---it was crowded. Several people received Jesus as their Savior & Lord and many Christians experienced a greater closeness with the Lord and a desire to serve God in a greater way.
Today there is a 3 day City wide youth camp and over 30 of our youth are attending. Even Gracia and Hugh went, although most of those attending are in their teens, and a few in their early twenties. Total attendance in expected to be 100+. On Thursday-Saturday there is a three day nation-wide fasting and prayer meeting for the upcoming Philippine elections which will be held in May. The Tacloban interdenominational & independent churches are involved locally. This will be a busy week.
We have recently helped 3 families this week who had a family member who required treatment in the hospital. One was Pastor Chris’s child who was injured in a motorcycle related accident, (they are from our church in Calubian) We also helped one poor family (mother & 3 children) who needed assistance for fare in going to Manila to live with her parents for awhile until her husband can find new work.
Many of you probably remember Randy, the teen-age street boy who was so sick and we brought him to our home last September. He weighed only 70 lbs when we took him to the doctor, he now weighs 106.5 lbs and is almost totally healed of the advanced stage of TB he had. The sores on his neck are healed and his overall heath is good. Last September I believe he would have died within a few days if we had not taken him in off the streets. He has lived with us at our home & missions compound now for almost 8 months. He can read and write and if we can get his hearing improved we hope to be able to send him to a 5 month Bible School course that is offered by some missionary friends of ours.

We believe that the most important part of the gospel is to help people receive God’s gift of salvation though faith in Jesus. We also believe that in the physical area---helping the poor is important also. In Jeremiah 22:16 the Scripture reads: “He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know Me?” declares the Lord.
Emie and I, (along with our ministry pastors and workers here)---will continue to do our best to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to many people; exhort & encourage fellow Christians in their faith & service to the Lord; and help the poor as led by the Holy Spirit. We are always very thankful to God for each of you who are partnering with us in the various ministry outreaches that are reaching people for Jesus. As we have shared before: “Some Go & Some Help Send.” Thanks so much for partnering with us and God richly bless you always.

In His Love,
Gordon & Emie
P.S. Please continue to pray for us--that the Lord would continue to strengthen us, give us fresh insight & wisdom, increased fruitfulness in all areas of ministry, good health, protection, and full financial provision.

Issue No. 207
January 19th, 2010

Habakkuk 2:2-3 NASB Then the Lord answered me and said: “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; but at the end it will speak, it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail though it tarries, wait for it; because it will certainly come, it will not delay.”

In Eternal Life Ministries International the foundational vision is: 1. To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever God opens the doors. 2. To exhort & encourage Christians in their faith & service to the Lord. 3. To have a genuine helps ministry to the poor, as led by the Holy Spirit.
The vision for the Churches of Eternal Life Ministries in the Philippines that we share with them is:
“We are Soul Winners Committed to bring the Gospel of Life, Hope, and Transformation to the Families, Communities, Cities, and Regions Beyond.

Our Missions Statement: “We raise up committed Soul Winners & Pastors to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, bringing Life, Hope & Transformation to the families & communities through discipleship training & church planting.”
I Thessalonians 5:24 “Faithful is He who calls you, and He will also bring it to pass.”

Dear Friends,
Warm greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus. Emie & I continue to pray for God’s unique, special, and timely blessings for your life this New Year and always. “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of our Lord Jesus Christ.” ---I Peter 1:2

As we are now 2&1/2 weeks onto this New Year of 2010 and a New Decade as well, it is a good time to continue to seek the Lord for wisdom & guidance, in setting God directed goals for our personal lives and service to Him. Jeremiah 29:12-13 “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” And in addition to God’s direction in setting goals I believe we also need to ask the Lord to give us the strength, courage, pure faith, and resources to fulfill His call and purpose for our lives. The Lord encourages in that regards in Isaiah 41:10. “Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ So we can rest assured that God is willing to help us---but we must always be willing to do our part and be willing to work at & apply what the Lord has taught us and directed us to do. James 1:25 NAS “But the one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Zig Ziglar, a Christian who is a motivational speaker and author, has shared much about goal setting. One thing he shared was a simple formula for achieving goals that greatly helped him and many other people. I will share them as you may find these helpful. “#1. Write the goal down. #2. Put a date on it. #3. List the obstacles I have to overcome. #4. Identify the people or groups I have to work with to help in fulfilling the goal. #5. Spell out a plan of action and put a date on it. #6. Identify the benefits to me.” I would simply add at the top and bottom of that list with every specific goal: “Pray and ask the Lord for His help & thank Him”---- because we know that with God all things are possible. An Old saying states : [“Just do your best, and God will take care of the rest.”]
First of all in starting the testimonial part of this newsletter in the beginning of this New Year & New Decade; we give heartfelt thanks & praise to the Lord---for His calling and the honor to serve Him and minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. Emie & I also would like to once again express our sincere thanks to you for your friendship & partnership---for your prayers, encouragement, and financial investments in the ministry outreaches. In effective missions work--- the teamwork of those who go and those who help send is vitally important. We continue to pray for God to bless you always for your help to us in leading people to Jesus.
When we had our monthly pastors meeting (1st Monday evening to ednesday morning) this January, we had a break-though in total weekly average attendance for December, the last month of the decade. [ The average combined attendance of adults, young people, and children for all the churches was over one-thousand people for the first time, it was 1,053]. I have mentioned in the past that Region 8 which consists of the islands of Biliran, Leyte, & Samar is the least evangelized region in the Philippines with only 1-2% born again and

medium church attendance is in the low forties. We started out 2009 with 17 churches, and now have 21 churches as of January 2010. In the past few months 4 pioneering church outreaches joined with us from these areas: Tacloban (SanJose/ V&G area) ---Pastor Dodong/ Calubian, Leyte---Pastor Chris/ Calbayog, Samar---Pastora Jonalyn/ and Ilo, Samar---Pastora Virginia. Please pray for God’s blessings & help to these pastors and churches. Emie recently had a special blessing and added responsibility given to her. In Tacloban City and a few neighboring small towns, they have a Pastor’s Association of 46 Churches from different denominations and independent ministries. Many of them meet weekly for prayer, fellowship, & planning of joint outreaches and seminars for Tacloban. Emie has been faithfully working with them for many years. For the past 2 years she was their Treasure, and this year was elected President by 90% of the vote. She is the 1st woman to ever hold that office. Please pray for God’s guidance, strength, and wisdom for her and all the Tacloban Pastors Association. Since they have been united and praying for the city of Tacloban, (& the region, nation , and other countries); ---we have seen growth and improvement in the Christian churches here.
I hope to leave room for 2 pictures for this newsletter so I will not write a lot more. In summary, most all the Eternal Life Ministries churches are doing well, our Sunday morning Regional Radio Broadcast is reaching several thousand people with the gospel and people are being saved. The children’ feeding and ministry outreach is a blessing. We have ministered in hospitals, prisons, funeral services, and many areas. The poor have been helped with food, medicine, cloths, and in other areas. By the grace of God we have in the past years been able to minister in Asia: to people in Vietnam, China, Thailand, &Malaysia; and in Africa: to people in Kenya, & D.R. Congo, and my home country the USA.

While it appears the majority of our ministry will be in the Philippines, we hope in this next ten years to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in some countries in all of the Continents on this earth. By God’s love, grace, mercy, and strength---we can all be used by the Lord in amazing and special ways in reaching many people with the life-saving & life-changing; gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank-you very much for your partnership in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. In Christ’s love, Gordon & Emie
P.S. Please continue to pray for God’ favor and blessings upon this New Year & New Decade of service to Him. We continue to need prayer for fresh anointing, clear direction, protection, wisdom, strength, good health, and financial provision. [We need and appreciate your prayers}

I Corinthians 9:8 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

“WE WISH YOU A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS &
AN EXCEPTIONALLY BLESSED NEW YEAR 2010!”
Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,
Christmas greeting to you all & your family. May the Lord’s blessing, guidance, protection, be unto you for the coming years. For unto you a child is born---for unto you a child is given to be Savior of our soul.
First of all I would like to thank God for His wonderful grace that we experienced throughout the year. We are blessed & grateful for the good health, protection, provision, and anointing that He has bestowed upon us and the ministry.
We are blessed with 6 kids. Our oldest son Jean Paul is now 23 years old and He is a skilled musician and table tennis player---a very sociable person and likable. Gracia is now 11 years old and very much healthy, and she is also active and involved in the ministry outreach like the children’s feeding program. She loves to sing and dance.
Hugh Gordon is now 8 and desires to be a pastor like (Daddy & Mommy). He is a very smart and a thinker. Faith, Hope , and Joy---our triplets are now 4 years & 3 months old; they are very much active & talkative and are ready for kinder school next year God willing.
Ministry is continuing to grow and I thank God, just last night there are 5 new people added as the result of a cell group meeting. We finally have a breakthrough of discipling members to become leaders. And now after 3 years of training they are also discipling people in their cell group. We are experiencing more leaders to be trained to do the work of the ministry.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for all who helped us make this ministry possible. We have 17 pastors & 5 workers whom we help throughout the years and they are working in the villages in the province of Samar, Leyte, and Biliran. They are faithful servants of Jesus Christ.
Thank-you very much because of YOU and YOUR PARTNERSHIP & PRAYER we were able to possess the land and People are coming to Him. Jesus Is The Reason We Exist.
Merry Christmas & a Prosperous New Year
Love, Emil

“The Savior is Born” Issue No. 205

*The Pre-existent Christ*
Colossians 1:16-17 NIV “For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and things on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

John 1:1-4 AMP “In the beginning [before all time]was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the word was God Himself. He was present originally with God All things were made and came into existence through Him, and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. In Him was Life and the Life was the Light of men.”

Dear Friends,
We pray the Lord will greatly bless you this Christmas and grant you an excellent New Year. “Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.” –Jude 2 KJ
Much is said about Christmas . Traditionally it has been a time set aside by many to celebrate the Birth of Jesus, to have fellowship with family and friends, to give and receive gifts, and a time for some to extend an extra measure of good will and to have hope for a better world.
In recent years however, it seems like there has been quite a few unrepentant “Scrooges” who want to oppose the use of the name Christmas--and prefer to call it Xmas or Winter Holiday, etc. & they oppose nativity scenes in many locations and their primary attitude is “Bah Humbug”. Oh well, to them I would simply say: “MERRY CHRISTMAS!”
Perhaps many of us see too much secularization in the Christmas season and too much emphasis on material items, etc. But I believe we would agree that a true concept and meaning of Christmas is the type of service and giving that Jesus refers to in Matthew 20:28 NKJ “just as the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life a ransom for many.” We celebrate that God the Son, came down from heaven, and entered into this world born of a virgin in a humble manger----and He came here to seek and save that which was lost. We who believe have forgiveness of sins and eternal life—because Jesus came to serve and give His life as a ransom for us. {JESUS HAS BEEN--HE IS--AND HE ALWAYS WILL BE:--THE REASON FOR THE SEASON} John 3:16

I just came back into my office---today is Sunday and our church service will start in awhile. Downstairs I hear the little Sunday school kids rehearsing for a presentation to the congregation when we have the main service. I was blessed to hear them singing a few minutes ago: “Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere, go tell it on the mountain, that Jesus Christ is born…”, and I just wanted to share that with you before I go downstairs for our church service. I believe many of us have experienced the anointing and special presence of the Lord on the music of children as they sing from their hearts in simple childlike faith and we were blessed and ministered to as they sang. [Psalm 8:2a “From the lips of children and infants You have ordained praise…”

An Atheist for 67 years + spends Christmas in person---with Jesus
That was the caption of an email I sent to my friend Gary Evans 3 days ago. Gary had briefly met the person I write about and I had shared a little by phone and then emailed this testimony:
“Dear Gary,
I was starting to talk about Martin, who died last Saturday here, because it seldom a man past 60 receives Christ as Savior and Lord when they have rejected God most of their life. Martin was a European atheist who had not believed in God or so he said. But in the months he lived after he found out he had cancer, he began to look more openly at the issues of life and death.
I was speaking at the 1st anniversary of a church we are helping out in Calubian last August. That day I met Martin at the market where he had driven his motorcycle, and I was able to visit with him there for awhile. He mentioned he had cancer (he had already lived several months past what doctors had told him he would) and I simply shared with him that although he had rejected God most of his life, that the truth was that God is real,
that God loves him and wants to help him. I simply laid my hand on his shoulder and conversationally prayed for Martin, that the Lord would reveal Himself to him and let Martin experience the reality and love of God.
Three months later, Pastor Chris, (who is the pastor of the church we are helping there) had a dream about Martin and went to visit him early in the morning and found Martin in a very sick condition. He was able to lead Martin in a sincere prayer to receive Jesus as his Savior and Lord. Martin asked Chris to come back and share from the Bible.
Last Friday as I was about to leave to go to a prison ministry, I got a text message from Chris that he was at Martin’s bedside and I could call him if I was available. I called Martin and encouraged him, and he reaffirmed his faith in Jesus Christ. I said I would stop by and visit him on Sunday evening (a 3+ hour roundtrip drive as you recall). I got a text message from Dan Holmes on Saturday: “Martin Kramer is in God’s hands”.
God is good, if Martin had died suddenly a few months ago in a car crash, etc. there would have been no time to open his heart and receive Jesus. But as he was given a few months to take a serious and honest look at life and eternity---he then made the most important and best decision of his life. Martin will be spending his Christmas with Jesus.”

{Jesus replied to the thief on the cross who had asked the Lord to remember him when He came into His kingdom
“…Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” –Luke 23:42-43}

The Jesus we know and serve does not change. The Scripture states that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He came to seek and save the Lost, He came to destroy the works of the devil, and He came that you and I and all who believe in Him---could have real everlasting life. God loves us beyond our comprehension.
As we are now getting closer to entering a New Year and a New Decade, it is Emie & my prayer for us all---that God will preserve and protect the good fruit of the past years of our ministries, that He will continue to clearly guide us and anoint us all in our service to Him in the present, and that for future New Decade---that God will continually demonstrate in all our lives: the reality of Ephesians 3:20 where it states He “…is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all we can ask or think…” May we see many more people saved, encouraged and trained to faithfully serve the Lord, and may we be able to help those He has called us to help.
We are always very thankful to God for the privilege and honor to serve Him. And once again Emie and I would like to express our special thanks & appreciation to you, for your friendship & faithful partnering with us in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Your prayers & financial investments in God’s work through the multiple ministry outreaches is: helping us to bring new people to Jesus, helping to strengthen and encourage people in their faith & service to the Lord, and helping the poor in a variety of ways. We continue to pray and believe the Lord for His blessings and rewards to you, for your partnership with us in ministering the good news of Jesus.
In Christ’s love,
Gordon & Emie

Hebrews 6:10 NIV “God is not unjust, He will not forget your work and the help you have shown Him as you helped His people and continue to help them.”

P.S. Please continue to pray: for us and the ministry workers and team---as the Lord leads you in all areas of our lives and ministry outreaches. We continue to ask for specific prayer for God’s fresh anointing, clear direction, protection & provision, good health, and abundant fruitfulness in the ministry outreaches.
